Lake
45 minutes from Scottsdale is one of the best lakes in Arizona, Bartlett Lake. This lake has long been known as a very consistent fishery, and is a great place to catch largemouth bass and crappie. Located in the beautiful Cave Creek area, the lake offers great fishing and fantastic views of the superstition mountain range.

Lake
Just 40 minutes outside of Scottsdale awaits one of the deserts most beautiful lakes. Towering canyons and lush aquatic habitat make Saguaro Lake a favorite with sightseers and photographers. The lake is also a great place to take kids fishing, as it has a very healthy population of little largemouth bass, yellow bass, and bluegill. Roosevelt
Lake
Located 2 hours north of Scottsdale is what many bass anglers are anticipating
to be the best bass fishery in the southwest. A tremendously wet winter
in 2004 flooded water in to what was already a great fishing lake, and increased
the lake size from 9000 surface acres to 20,000 surface acres, resulting
in a "new-lake effect" boom on the fish population. 50-100
fish days are common, and the fish are fat and mean. Bass anglers
and fly fishermen will both fall in love with the variation of cover and
techniques that work on this lake. This is bass fishing heaven!

Alamo
Lake
Located 2.5 hours west of Phoenix, this desert waterway is considered one
of the best fisheries in the state. Loaded with brush, Alamo is a
great place to throw spinnerbaits, topwater, and flip. Fly fishermen
will enjoy the challenge of precise casting and hauling bruiser largemouth
out of the wood. If you like fishing tight cover and heavy line for
strong fish, this is your place. |

Salt
River
Located only 45 minutes from Scottsdale, this beautiful tailwater fishery can often be the perfect place to wet a line when time is tight. It is a beautiful experience to wade a deep clear pool, catch trout, while being surrounded by cactus and desert. The river is stocked with Rainbow Trout form early fall through late spring, and also offers a variety of other fish, such as Largemouth Bass, suckers, and carp. When flows are high, fly fishing for trout can be excellent.

Oak
Creek
This is one of Arizona's most beautiful classic trout streams. Lush vegetation and gorgeous scenery backdrop an incredible fishery flowing downstream through a deep canyon gorge. The stream is stocked year round with Rainbow trout, but is also home to some beautiful carry-over and wild Rainbows, as well as some big wary wild Brown Trout that date back to the early 1900's and Zane Grey. Colorado River/Silver Creek

Country Lakes & Streams
There are 67 beautiful lakes and 33 streams, creeks, and rivers located
throughout Arizona's high country. These waters are typically
surrounded by ponderosa pines, aspens, oaks, and junipers, and are some
